Wild Grass Spawner

I guess this is what it meant by new use for bone meal.

So I was going around using bone meal on saplings when I missed the small tree. The bone meal actually spawned some wild grass and flowers! I don't know if anyone knew about this cause I haven't heard any one say it does this. So I thought I'd tell you guys.
If you did know it did this, please let me. The texture pack in the photo is Jollicraft.
